Live music is (almost) back in Melbourne (again!)! Check the gigs tab for upcoming shows, including a new date for the premiere of "Oxossi: The Hunter" at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
The gigs may be slowly coming back, but many musicians still really need the support of platforms like Bandcamp to make ends meet. Bandcamp are continuing to waive their revenue share on the first Friday of each month, which means more money from album sales goes straight to the artists. But there are other platforms, and frequently the best way to support the artist is to buy directly from them. And don't forget that little things like subscribing to youtube channels, or following facebook pages can really help too.
Sign up to my enews now to find out about gigs, new albums, videos and more. If you're lucky, you'll see my dilletante-ism in full flight! We'll also be launching our new podcast very soon. I say "stay tuned," but that's not how podcast technology works.
On the concert front, Panorama Brasil will be back on stage in January, but before that you can catch Dany Maia at the Paris Cat in November. Like us on facebook or follow us on twitter to stay up to date. We're also releasing more video and recordings from the back catalogue, so make sure you subscribe on youtube.
For details on all of these events, check my GIG listings. You can also find information about all of these groups, including mp3s and videos on this site. And you can visit us on facebook, see the latest videos on the new Panorama Brasil youtube channel, check out my instagram or catch Panorama Brasil on twitter (panorama_brasil).
